Description - Pending Course Approval
This course will prepare the Emergency Medical Technician for recertification as required by the New York State, Department of Health, Bureau of EMS and Trauma Systems. Written and Practical challenge exams will be offered and required class session attendance will be determined based upon the students’ performance on these exams.

- Students must have unrestricted access to a computer or tablet.
- Students must provide an email address and have reliable internet access and current web browser.
Cost/Payment
Course Tuition is $400.00 plus an additional software fee of $100.00. Payment options are listed below.
Please Note: In light of the potential restrictions placed upon educational institutions and agencies due to COVID-19 the Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services is prepared to offer this course in a blended (On-Line and Socially Distanced, In-Person) format. Should this be necessary, information will be shared with participants. The facilities and equipment at the Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services have and will continue to be cleaned and sterilized to ensure staff and participant safety.
Payment Options:
1) Pay in full at the time of registration.
2) $100 non-refundable deposit (covering the course fees as outlined in the course information) at the time of registration with the balance due on the first night of class.*
3) Payment Plan. Payment arrangements are done on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Director of Emergency Medical Services. A payment plan requires you to place a credit card on file. Contact us for additional information.
4) New York State funding is available for members of certified ambulance agencies. Students using this option for payment will be required to complete an agency verification form. Students using the New York State funding option will be responsible for course fees totaling $100.00 which must be paid at the time of registration (See Option 2). These course fees are non-refundable. Students who are not using this option will be required to pay course tuition and fees in full in the amount of $500.00 and may select an option for payment above.
